Collecting feedback
Analytics tell you what your learners did. They do not tell you what they thought of it, what was missing, or what they actually used once back at their workstation.
Collecting feedback
Analytics tell you what your learners did. They do not tell you what they thought of it, what was missing, or what they actually used once back at their workstation.
That is what this section covers: the three channels your learners answer through. Measured activity lives in Measuring activity.
The three channels
- Collecting learner feedback: forum and comments — unprompted feedback: this is where outdated or badly explained content surfaces
- Evaluating a session: immediate and delayed — structured feedback: satisfaction right after, transfer a few weeks later, and the Qualiopi audit pack that comes out of it
- Capsule ratings — five stars at the end of a capsule: one tap, no effort asked, and the only feedback you get at volume
Which one to use
| Forum | Session evaluation | Capsule rating | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it captures | A question, a correction | Satisfaction, then transfer | An overall impression |
| Effort asked | High | Medium | One tap |
| Response volume | Low | Variable | High |
| What it is for | Fixing one specific capsule | Proving impact, passing an audit | Spotting what to look at |
💡 They do not replace each other, they relay each other. The rating tells you where to look, the forum tells you what to fix, the session evaluation tells you whether it worked.
The trap
⚠️ Feedback nobody reads is worse than no feedback. It costs your learners time and teaches them their opinion does not count. Before opening a channel, name who reads it and how often.
